Nektar is the elektronic music project by producer and dj Hasan Erginöz. Over the past 15 years, he has been intensely researching a wide range of sounds and later started his own vinyl collection. Being exposed to inspiring musical pieces and performances of minimal, ambient, techno and electro around the globe, he first began to produce as a bedroom musician, experimenting with new sounds and ideas.
In 2016, he joined the Analog Kültür Record Shop & Studio, where he dived more into the vinyl culture and got introduced to a diverse spectrum of synthesizers, ranging from the 80s analog synths to the current ones. Over the past two years, he has been carrying out his Nektar project, specifically the productions of one EP and one LP, he is currently working on to release.
Reverie is a techno EP with universal sound and impression, including guest artists and instruments such as improvised percussions, Ney - the traditional reed flute - and abstract vocals. Earth to Space LP which is a blend of ambient, techno and experimental sounds, was produced in collaboration with Christian Grothe / Kryshe, tells the story of an odyssey through human psyche, time and space.
For as long as he can recall, Hasan Erginöz has been supporting and been a part of the underground music and creative community. While continuing his solo techno, ambient and experimental works as Nektar, he has been a part of various projects and collaborations within the Istanbul scene, such as Analog Kultur Experiment, Sitdownandance, Noh Radio; in addition to production of original music for the dance performance by Evrim Akyay in Elektronika.
